The new super series of Mario Games are highly appreciated and extremely popular in the genre of video games, which has been introduced by Nintendo Corporation. The games have the same features like the previous ones had such as Mario jumping over certain obstacles to defeat the enemies. The game features easy plots in which the antagonist Bowser kidnaps the princess and Mario rescues her. The story is made interesting with twist and turns that create lots of curiosity. People interested in the Mario series will simply love this game. Children can also enjoy it a lot. The traditional Mario games involve jumping over enemies along with avoiding their attacks, but in the new 3D version, the striking distance action was incorporated. The focus is laid on reaching the goal in spite of all the hurdles and unraveling the puzzles. Game lovers will find it an excellent brainteaser and different from other games, which are mechanical in nature. In this way, the game can improve one’s power of thinking and captivating them throughout the game. The game involves lot of running, jumping and stomping your way through the topical islands, raging volcanoes, snowcapped peaks along with unimaginable challenges. •It also features eight new worlds or you can say eight levels of hidden paths with secrets galore. The most interesting aspect of the game is that you can complete the game without completing all the levels. •It also highlights Mario’s variable moves that include some advanced techniques. •The new super Mario series also comes in multiplayer mode like Mario Vs Luigi. •The motive of this game is to collect the stars that appear at regular intervals throughout the different stages. •The all-new super Mario series of Nintendo Games are here to stay and they are just like trial blazers followed by many more such games.

A Look At Future Video Game Consoles
The video games industry is a multi-billion dollar business which is growing by leaps and bounds every year. The increased sophistication of the hardware of gaming platforms and the superior algorithms of the underlying software is making the games more realistic, immersive and interactive. We will take a quick look at three of the most promising present and future video game consoles – Nintendo Wii U, Playstation Vita, and Xbox Kinect. Nintendo Wii U Scheduled for release in 2012, this new gaming console from Nintendo comes with a new controller. The controller has two analog circle pads and traditional button controls. It also comes with a 6.2 inch touch screen display with a 16:9 widescreen ratio. This serves as a second window to the virtual environment of the game, separating the previous barrier that existed between the player, the TV and the game. Xbox Kinect
So if like me you all are a bit confused about the new Xbox Kinect, I have decided to write a fully descriptive and informative...
For instance, when playing golf, the player can place the controller on the floor to see the golf ball displayed on the touch screen display. This would truly enhance the sensation of playing the game. Likewise, when a player runs to catch a baseball dropping from the sky, they can hold the controller above their heads and actually see the ball drop through the display. The addition of another window to the game environment has added a new dimension to Nintendo games. Playstation Vita Scheduled to be available by February 2012, the Playstation Vita from Sony offers brand new ways to play their video games. With front and rear cameras, the gaming environment becomes more real than ever before. The AR or augmented reality technology incorporated into the PlayStation Vita merges the game world and the physical world seamlessly. Equipped with 3G and Wi-Fi facilities, Playstation Vita lets players locate their opponents with pinpoint precision. Gamers can use the Vita at home or on the go. Xbox Kinect Kinect for the Xbox 360 from Microsoft which is already available, completely eliminates the need for a controller. The player becomes the controller of the game instead. The Kinect comes with a motion sensor that tracks the body movements of the player and uses their actions to control the characters inside the game. Game playing becomes so natural with the Xbox Kinect as players do not have to use a handheld controller anymore. They can control the game with their hands, legs or their whole body. They can also use the Kinect with their voice to activate its various features. Kinect helps players get off their couches and get on their feet and into the game literally. It offers the most natural and realistic way to play games. With each leader in the gaming industry taking a different approach to make games more realistic and enjoyable, the consumer is in for a real treat. Players might have to wait a little more to see how the Wii U and the Vita turn out to be when they are released in 2012.

Nintendo’s Wii U: Why It’s Time to Stop Fretting About System Specs
Heard the latest scuttlebutt about the Wii U’s system specs? No, I don’t mean the one about Nintendo’s next console being 50% more powerful than a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. That one dates back to June—ancient history in gaming years—and was based on claims supposedly made by developers then translated by a market research firm. No, I’m talking about the story sourced to Wii U Daily (henceforth, WUD) obtained from a Japanese developer porting a PS3 game over to the new system. WUD’s source claims the Wii U’s specs will be:
(MORE: Nintend’oh! Wii U Won’t Feature DVD or Blu-ray Playback) WUD has a dog in this fight by virtue of its existence—it’s a Wii U fan site, after all—so make no assumptions about this information’s veracity, but in theory, it means the system has plenty of oomph under the hood. System architectures are notoriously hard to wrangle into apples-to-apples comparisons, but the latest version of the Xbox 360, by comparison, employs a Tri-Core, 3.2 GHz PowerPC-based 45nm CPU, has 512MB of RAM and uses a 90nm ATI-based GPU. Assuming a six-years-newer GPU and PPC-based CPU architecture, the benefits of the extra core, and more and faster RAM, it’s easy to see where claims the Wii U would be “50% faster” were coming from, even if it’s not really surprising given the six-years interval. (I won’t bother listing the PS3′s specs here, because they’re dissimilar enough to be confusing.) Given any of the above, when the Wii U arrives next year, we’ll be looking at three more than capable systems, two of which can still compare favorably (in most ways) to games released for today’s desktop PCs. And chances are, given development budgets and current-gen design wisdom, Wii U games are going to look a lot like what we’ve grown accustomed to the last half decade–great, that is, but not remarkably different on a pixel-for-pixel level. The one detail worth pulling out is the Wii U’s declared support for 1080p. That’s 1920 by 1080 pixels, the equal (or better) of most computer monitors on desks where more than 22 or 24 inches seems like overindulging (you can swing up to 2560 by 1600 pixels, but who not in graphic design has space for 30-plus inches?). The Wii, by comparison, tops out at a paltry 640 by 480 pixels. Most televisions sold today are either 720p or 1080p. Running a Wii game on a 720p or 1080p screen results in interpolation, or “pixel stretching,” making aliasing (the jagged stair step effect along edges) more pronounced and the video feed look like its trapped behind dirty glass. It’s more a technology “mismatch” issue than a Wii shortcoming, but it’s annoying enough to interfere with my enjoyment of Wii games not piped through an old-school CRT (which no one sells anymore, or wants to cram into an entertainment center now that flat screens and high-def are everywhere). Now that Nintendo’s joined the HD club, I’m washing my hands of system spec showdowns. I’ve stopped caring about texels and shaders and bump-mapping. Who outside the development biz really cares? Does anyone care whether Modern Warfare 3 looks better (or worse) than Battlefield 3? Is that what you’re really noticing while playing either? It’s time to leave behind the which-one’s-more-powerful debate. Games today look incredible enough, so much so that the visual upticks are irrelevant–scaffolding to aid the production, not upstage it. Which means that from the Wii U, I’m expecting more than just a bunch of Nintendo games with a high-definition makeover. There’s plenty of reason to. No one on the hardware side–not Sony, not Microsoft–matches Nintendo’s gumption when it comes to thinking outside the box game-wise. When Zelda for the Wii U arrives, it won’t be Link’s high-def duds or Master Sword or slingshot and boomerang I’ll be scrutinizing, it’ll be what Nintendo’s done with the series after years of riffing on 1998′s Ocarina of Time. The Sony PSP Versus the Nintendo DS
There are two popular hand held gaming systems on the market today. One is the Sony Playstation Portable, or PSP, and the other is the Nintendo DS. Both of these portable gaming systems are suitable for any age. There have been redesigns of the PSP which have made the PSP thinner and lighter and has also added certain additions such as an increased color range on the screen, a microphone, new buttons and a anti-reflection screen to increase outdoor game play. Nintendo has also released redesigns of the DS titled the DS Lite and DSi. The DS has numerous color schemes, with Nintendo releasing new color options all of the time. The Sony PSP has very sleek engineering and a wide screen. The graphics on the PSP are very similar to that of the bigger console named the Playstation 2. Not only can games be played on the PSP, but it also has Wi-Fi capabilities built in and allows the user to listen to music, watch videos or store pictures. The Nintendo DS has dual playing screens and features a built in microphone as well as Wi-Fi capabilities. The dual screen technology allows the user to input game play using a stylus or their fingers. This aspect of the DS allows the gamer to interact with certain games instead of just pushing buttons to achieve actions. The DS also has traditional buttons, but the touch screen has to be used with most of the games. The DS’s microphone is used during game play for voice recognition, online chatting with friends during certain games and some games require the user to blow or shout into the microphone. Both the PSP and DS have built in stereo speakers. In order for the user to store game saves, or any other type of media on the PSP, the use of memory sticks is required. Depending on the amount of storage needed, the user may require an extensive collection of memory cards to keep everything they need. The DS does not require memory cards because the games use the same design as older Nintendo games in the fact that all game saves are stored directly onto the game cartridge itself. One thing that some people may worry about when purchasing a portable gaming system is battery life. The PSP battery has a surprising long life considering all of the different functions that the PSP is capable of doing. Of all the research that has been done, it seems that the shortest amount of time that the battery lasts is a little over three hours and that is while playing a game that takes full advantage of all the graphics and Wi-Fi technology. The Nintendo DS has a lithium-ion battery which generally lasts about ten hours when fully charged, however, multiple factors can increase or decrease battery life such as brightness of the screen, speaker volume, and the backlight. Up to sixteen consoles can be connected at once to enjoy head to head game play over the Wi-Fi connection on the PSP. The Sony PSP also has a 2.0 USB port which allows the user to download files from their computer through a normal USB cable. The DS has the ability to allow multiple players to connect their individual DS’s using wireless connectivity of a range of up to sixty feet. Only one game cartridge is needed to use this function. A good component of the PSP is that the user will not have to worry about outdated software or having a system that is not compatible with newer PSP items. With the PSP, the user can simply update their software using any wireless network connection. Sony has an extensive list of game titles to be played on the PSP, even some of the bigger titles that are normally reserved for bigger consoles. The only drawback to the game play on the PSP is the long load times of the games. In addition to the games available for the PSP, movies as well as certain television shows can also be found on Universal Media Disks, or UMD’s. One aspect of the Nintendo DS is that it is backwards compatible and all of the games that were made for one of Nintendo’s older portable systems, the Game Boy Advance, can be played on the DS as well. With the games for the DS, the dual screen or touch screen action allows the gamer to participate in some truly exclusive aspects of game play.

The Best Nintendo Wii Downloads
Games Asylum » NGamer magazine is evolving
This month’s issue of the rather impartial NGamer magazine will be the last. Fans of the magazine need not to worry – it’s “entering a chrysalis to emerge as a beautiful papery butterfly” to become Nintendo Gamer. We assume that they’re hoping the new look will entice those who receive a new Nintendo console for Christmas to pick up a copy. What can we expect? More pages have already been confirmed – the current issue clocks in with 115 pages while Nintendo Gamer will have 148. The retro features will remain too – the blurb promises it’ll contain Nintendo games from current, past and future. NGamer has a rather long legacy that can be traced back to Super Play – a magazine that undoubtedly helped a generation to get hooked on JRPGs. Nintendo Gamer hits shelves on 5th January, which incidentally, is also the same date issue 98 of Retro Gamer is due out. If you enjoy our retro features then you may want to keep an eye out for this one – it’s going to contain a Game Gear collector’s guide penned by our own fair hands.
