BackAtYou.com Announces Top 20 Giveaways in 2011
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) December 30, 2011 Back At You, a social media marketing platform where businesses create marketing campaigns and promotions on Facebook...

If you’ve ever used an Original Xbox 360 controller, then the Onza is not that much different.  I have both and use it for the PC, and I actually like the Onza’s shape better.  This one is the Battlefield 3™ Tournament Edition, as you can see from the design.  It also sports a rubberized finish which is good for intense gaming or if you have sweaty hands.  It’s connected to the PC/Xbox360 via a 15-foot braided cable which is bad news for fans of wireless controllers.

The Onza has 2 analog buttons; 6 shoulder buttons in which you can map the other two to any button you want; LED-lit face buttons and the D-pad.  Razer knew what gamers need so they made the analog buttons adjustable.  Whenever you need a heavy analog for more precision like when playing an FPS game, just turn the dial clockwise; and when you need a lighter analog for quick combos in fighting games, do otherwise.  The face buttons are lit for players who like to play in the dark.

The face buttons are unlike other gamepads since this one has a mechanical switch, and you can actually hear the buttons click, as opposed to rubber dome gamepads.  One thing though, the Start and Back buttons are situated near the bottom which feels kind of awkward to press.  Also, if you’re not a fan of analogs in fighting games, the D-pad is not an option.  If only the D-pad has the responsiveness of the face buttons, then this would be THE perfect gamepad for any gamer.

There are 2 extra shoulder buttons for gamers who need, well, two extra shoulder buttons.  It’s not configurable via software, as the Onza uses the same driver as the original Microsoft Xbox 360 Gamepad. You have to press the Remap button and assign any key from the gamepad.

All in all, the Razer Onza Battlefield 3™ Tournament Edition is well worth your money.  There are minor flaws but I’m sure the pros of this product outweigh any of it.  If you’re looking for a gamepad and the Original Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller doesn’t cut it, then the Onza is for you.  You can pick up the Razer Onza Battlefield 3™ Tournament Edition for around Php2,500 and the Non-Tournament Edition for around Php2,000.

Pros:Cons:

  • Backlit keys (A,B,X,Y)
  • Hyperesponse™ Buttons
  • Two extra shoulder buttons
  • Adjustable tension analog buttons
  • 15 foot braided cable
  • D-pad
  • Awkwardly placed Start and Back button
  • No wireless version

Make Your Choice – Playstation 3 vs. Xbox 360

There are many gaming enthusiasts out there that are stuck between which of the new gaming system to buy – Playstation 3 vs. Xbox 360. Although there is no doubt that they are both great systems, the Playstation 3 is by far the best option. Both are similar in price, so that’s not really a factor that needs to be taken into consideration. An important issue that you may not always think about is the warranty of the products. The Playstation 3 offers a full only year warranty while the Xbox 360 offers only a 90 day warranty. This may be something that you have already realised for yourself, but the first thing you need to know is that the graphics on the Playstation 3 are completely awesome It you have not yet seen the Playstation in action, go and check out the screenshots of some games. Both the Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360 offer the same memory at 512MB. The Playstation 3 offers 256MB of XDR memory and 256 MBMB of GDDR3 memory that is specific to graphics. On the other hand the Xbox 360 uses the Unified Memory Architecture, which allows the CPU and GPU to stare the memory. On both consoles systems the bandwidth is similar. If data storage capabilities are important to you than you be really happy with what the Playstation 3 has to offer. It come with as standard a portable media including six USB cable ports, memory stick slot, SD slot, and support for compact flash. Also included is a 2.5″ removable hard drive. For anyone that is upgrading from a Playstation 2 you will be pleased to learn that you can purchase a memory card adapter for approx. $15 so that you won’t need to leave any data behind that was stored on memory cards. The Xbox 360 does slightly lag behind in this area. It will provide you will two memory card slots and several USB cable ports that support your iPod and memory sticks. The Playstation 3 includes a much better system for supporting its predecessor’s games. In order to play Playstation 1 & 2 games you only need to slip them right in the console for instant play. Many of the Playstation 1 & 2 games will be enhanced graphics than they did on the previous systems. Whilst the Xbox 360 will also accept Xbox games, it does involve a more complicated process. To make it work, users will need to be connected to Xbox Live. Once connected, the games system will download the necessary software upgrade to make the game usable. This will result in you waiting whilst it searches, downloads, restarts and than finally loads the game. Now on to the controller – The Playstation 3 controller is lighter and much more comfortable to handle than that of the Playstation 2. The changes in design are intended to allow the user hours of entertainment with sore hands. This is of course very important to consumers. Now onto the Xbox 360 controller which has also had a new design. It has been designed with large buttons to allow easy game play. For both gaming systems the new controller design has been well received. Also, both systems offer wireless controllers. However, the Playstation 3 has the ability to allow up to seven controllers to the connected to the console at one time for certain games. This is something that the Xbox 360 doesn’t offer. Video games systems are extremely popular for all age groups. Every gaming enthusiast wants to lay their hands on a games system that is easy to use with many great features included. They also want to play the most exciting games that are available. The Playstation 3 offers a better product than the Xbox 360 in each of these highlighted categories. Right now, the Playstation is best selling gaming system when it comes to the Playstation 3 vs. Xbox 360 contest. VUDU Launches on Xbox 360

Microsoft and Walmart have announced that the VUDU streaming service has launched on the Xbox 360 game console. The launch of the VUDU streaming service supports all the cool new features of the Xbox from the latest update. Users can search VUDU with voice commands and gesture commands using Kinect.

The VUDU service allows the user to rent movies and TV shows and has a bunch of classic movies and other content for the users to enjoy. To kick off the launch on Xbox 360, VUDU is offering users a $4.99 credit on their first rental or purchase.

I really like that the Kinect is now being used to allow control of entertainment on the Xbox using both voice commands and gestures. That is much better than having to use a remote, especially for kids and adults that aren’t familiar with the Xbox controls.

“VUDU on Xbox 360 brings more fun into finding, watching and buying your favorite movies and TV shows,” said Edward Lichty, general manager, VUDU. “With the new, interactive features on Xbox 360 to browse VUDU’s library, along with special savings like 99-cent VUDU rentals, we hope to make the holidays even more entertaining and affordable for families.”

Try going to settings->preferences-> then there should be a voice preference option where you can change the voice to play through either: Headset, Television, or Both. Check to make sure you have Headset enabled.

Mandy asks…

price xbox 360?

how much does it cost for an xbox 360? halo 3? how much to get online? and what do you have to buy to be able to get online? and an earpiece? help please

Joey answers:

An Xbox 360 has three prices. $279 with a wired controller and no hardrive. $349 with a wireless controller and 20 gb harddrive, and $449 with a wireless controller and a 120 gb hardrive. Personally i would suggest at least going with the $350 version. The harddrive is very nice, saves you from having to buy expensive memory cards, and for me, 20 gb has been plenty memory for me.

Halo 3 also has three versions. $60 for just the game. $70 for the game and a special features disc. And $130 for the game, two special features discs, sample artwork, and a replica Spartan helmet.

To get an xbox live subscription, it will cost you $50 for one year, $30 for three months, or $8 for one month. For $80 you can get a one year subscription to xbox live, a wired headset to talk to people with, 200 microsoft points (to download premium items online), and three acrade game.

Headsets separately cost $60 for wireless, and $20 with a wire. I have heard that the wireless ones aren’t that great, but if you really hate cords, that may be the way to go.

Sandy asks…

can one talk to other through ps3′s online gaming as XBOX 360?

how does that work? does it even have it? if so can i connect my bluetooth earpiece to it and talk to others while playin games with them?

Joey answers:

Nope. Buy an Xbox 360.

Does a PS2 to PS3 Adapter Work With an Xbox360 ~ Xbox 360 Reviews

If you want to use your PS2 controller with your PS3 gaming system, you can do so because both systems are manufactured by Sony and they’re designed to be compatible. Unfortunately, a PS2 to PS3 adapter won’t work with an Xbox 360, which uses an IBM PowerPC processor and an incompatible wireless controller. The PS2-to-PS3 adapter is specifically designed for PS3 gaming consoles. Function A PS2-to-PS3 controller adapter is an accessory that allows you to use a PS2 controller on a PS3 gaming system. These adapters work with a variety of PS2 controllers including Dualshock 2, wireless controllers and guitars for “Guitar Hero.” The adapter has two ports. The USB port connects to one of the four USB ports on the gaming console, and the other port connects to the PS2 controller. Compatibility The PS2-to-PS3 adapter is not compatible with Xbox 360 systems because the consoles are built around two entirely different specifications. In addition, an Xbox 360 cannot read PS3 gaming discs because they’re not compatible. PS3 and Xbox 360 controllers are incompatible as well and use two separate connectors. Tip Several third-party vendors sell PS2-to-PS3 adapters. Some of these products may or may not be compatible with the games on which you’d like to use them. For example, an adapter might not be compatible with all versions of “Guitar Hero.” Before purchasing an adapter, refer to the product specifications for compatibility information. Recommendations Although a PS2-to-PS3 adapter won’t work on an Xbox 360 gaming system, most game titles can be purchased for both the PS3 and Xbox 360. You’ll need to buy additional discs to play your PS games on the Xbox 360 console.

Playstation 3 Is Lead Platform For Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance : Just Push Start

According to Atsushi Inaba, producer on the Platinum Games side, has stated that the Playstation 3 is the lead platform that they are developing on. This comes after the making of video debuted and footage of the 360 version being played was shown. People speculated that this meant that the Xbox was the lead console.

Inaba cleared everything up today via Twitter. He stated that when they worked on Bayonetta, the 360 was their lead platform and the other version was handled externally. Starting with Vanquish they worked on both platforms equally with PS3 being the lead platform and the engine being an in-house engine.

He finished by saying that he reason we saw an Xbox 360 controller is because that’s what they use to control the game on the PC they use for cross platform development. The Xbox 360 controller is the only official option here. All of this is pretty confusing but those who were up in arms about the sight of a 360 controller can rest assured that the lead platform is indeed the PS3.

Xbox 360 Accessories – What They Are and Why You Need Them

The Xbox 360 Kinect Previously Known As Project Natal – Either Way It’s Unbelievable
Revolutionizing video game-playing as we know it is the new Xbox 360 Kinect, or you may know it with the name, Project Natal, which is...
Welcome to the world of Xbox 360–the gaming world’s most powerful, innovative, and advanced platform ever Since its unveiling on MTV on May 12, 2005, Xbox 360 has taken the world by storm. Preceded by the much-hyped Xbox, this phenomenal gaming platform is the second video game console produced by Microsoft The console completely sold out when it was released in all regions except for Japan. The Xbox 360 platform was developed in cooperation with IBM, ATI, and SIS, and according to Microsoft, has sold over 22 million units worldwide as of September 30, 2008. The Xbox 360 is available in three console configurations: the “Arcade”, the “Pro or Premium”, and the “Elite.” Each of these consoles comes complete with its own collection of Xbox 360 accessories, including wired and wireless controllers, faceplates for customization, headsets for chatting, webcams for video chatting, Gamercize and dance mats for exercise, three different sizes of memory cards, as well as three sizes of hard drives–120GB, 60GB, and 20GB–each of which are designed to match the console. There are now so many different peripherals in different configurations, colors, styles and technological capabilities, that hard-core Xbox 360 gamers now pride themselves on building their own custom systems. Here are a few of the major Xbox 360 accessory categories and descriptions of each: 1. Consoles At the heart of the Xbox gaming system, the console is the “heart, soul and brains” of the platform. It’s sleek, ergonomic desktop design looks great in either horizontal or vertical placement. The Xbox 360 console is the component into which nearly all other accessories are attached. The unit measures 3.3 by 12.2 by 10.2 inches and weighs a mere 7.7 lbs. It’s power comes from a custom IBM PowerPC-based CPU with three symmetrical cores each running at 3.2 GHz. Furthermore, the console contains a custom ATI graphics processor having 10 MB of embedded DRAM, 48-way parallel floating-point dynamically scheduled shader pipelines and Unified shader architecture. As a point of reference, this is enough power to enable the system to draw 500 million triangles per second..more than needed for great looking games in standard TV definition, which is made even more awesome thanks to built-in support for HDTV 1080i televisions. The console even supports the widescreen 16:9 format. Out of the box, the Xbox 360 console employs a 12x dual-layer DVD-ROM drive, which plays both games and progressive-scan DVD movies. For game-save and media storage, users can select between the detachable and upgradeable 20GB hard drive, or a 64MB flash Memory Unit (sold separately). In addition to storing files, the hard drive makes the Xbox 360 backward-compatible with part of the existing Xbox game library. 2. Controllers As the name implies, the Xbox 360 Controller is the hand-held device used for navigating and accessing all on-screen activities. It’s boomerang-shape–reminiscent of Batman’s iconic symbol–fits comfortably in the palm of both hands. The ergonomic design includes left and right shoulder buttons, two analog pressure-point triggers, two vibration feedback motors, and an eight-way directional pad. Controllers come in wired and wireless models. The wired model includes a nine-foot break-away controller cable. The glowing Xbox Guide Button at the center of the controller provides quick access to digital movies, music, and your game libraries. You can even contact your friends on Xbox live as well as customize your gaming experiences. The controller even includes a port for your Xbox 360 headset. Many users consider the standard Xbox 360 controller to be the best gaming controller ever made. 3. Adapters Wireless network adapters let you configure your Xbox 360 system to your home wireless network to quickly get online and into the game. These adapters are easily configured, seamlessly synchronizing with the Xbox 360 system. Once connected, you can easily transfer videos and music to your system from your Media Center PC, chat with friends, play games via Xbox Live and more, all without the clutter of wires. 4. Batteries & Charge Kits Rechargeable battery packs and charge kits are recommended for use with wireless controllers. With these packs, you rarely need to buy batteries. With a normal rechargeable life, the packs last a year or two and can be charged while the unit is being used. While the Xbox 360 off, the unit can simply be charged from your computer’s USB port. 5. Hard Drives With the Xbox 360 Hard Drive, you can expand your Xbox 360 experience with downloadable content. These devices let you save your games, Xbox Live gamer profile, game demos, and custom soundtracks from your own music collection. The device also lets you play an assortment of original Xbox games and even comes preloaded with an Xbox Live Arcade game, music, and videos. 6. Headsets Many different types of headsets designed specifically to work seamlessly on Xbox 360 system are available for the Xbox 360 platform. From the Xbox 360 wireless headset to the over the ear headset, to headset earbuds, each style lets Xbox 360 gamers choose the perfect fit for them. Regardless of the style you choose, you’re guaranteed enhanced clarity and performance, stylish ergonomic design for comfort, and state-of-the-art radio technology for crisp, clear reception and audio delivery. 7. Remotes Remotes for the Xbox 360 range from the Universal Media Remote to the Light Up Wireless Remote to the Intelligent Report, among an assortment of others. The Universal Media Remote, for example, functions as an integrated control center for the entire Xbox 360 experience, all with the touch of a single button. You can play DVD movies and music, control your TV and Media Center PC, all with this single remote. The Intelligent Remote 360, on the other hand, is a self-programming remote that learns the functions for other remotes. 8. Faceplates & Skins Faceplates and console skins are sticker graphics that allow the Xbox 360 gamer to customize their hardware components towards their own personality traits and characteristics. The typical faceplate and skin designs range from the psychedelic to iconic representations of favorite Xbox 360 games like Halo and Guitar Hero II. 9. Cables & Wiring Having the right cables and wiring enhances the Xbox 360 gaming experience. As users upgrade their TVs, they may also need to upgrade their cables in order to retain the sharp, crisp details they’ve come to expect from the Xbox 360. One user describes how he converted from a CRT television to a 60-inch plasma and lost a tremendous amount of resolution in the process. By upgrading to Xbox 360 VGA HD AV cables, he suddenly notices that game images became intense and crisp.
